Ekaterina Firyulina and Sonatina Blue are the champions of the Meglio Champions Tour
The National Riding Hall in Budapest hosted the final of the Meglio Champions Tour, for which qualification was not easy. Throughout the series, riders had to complete at least three competitions with MK qualifying classes out of the four rounds held at the National Riding Hall, meaning that to reach the final field, they had to compete in both 2025 and 2026.
The field was further narrowed by the fact that first-class riders were not allowed to compete, so only those pairs reached the final who delivered the most consistent performances throughout the series.
The final ultimately brought an exciting jump-off. The podium places were decided in the jump-off, where three pairs competed for the final standings. Ekaterina Firyulina and Sonatina Blue had already delivered clear rounds in both the preliminary and the semi-final. In the final round, they reached the jump-off with 4 faults, where, with confident and precise riding, they secured the victory.
Dr. Annamária Zárug and Firefly also delivered a clear jump-off, which secured them second place. Rebeka Kozma and Kannandro rode with exceptional speed – recording the fastest time in the jump-off – but with one rail down, they ultimately finished in third place.
